Viability Assessments

Weekly update - 25 October 2019

What did we do this week?

  • We’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on the insights that we’ve found from our testing and using them to guide the direction of the alpha for the remaining time. Specifically that we’re going to focus on prototyping the comparison tool (or “concept 2”) whilst we learn more about the needs surrounding checking & submission for different users.
  • We’ve been pulling together an updated view of what the future viability journey might look like based on the use of the proposed tools and visualising some of the potential options within that model for us to test.
  • In the spirit of an alpha we’ve identified some more key, gnarly questions and assumptions to be tested, and have started pulling together a plan for how we can test them - ranging from simple questions to using quick sketched prototypes, to conversations about shadowing and designing
  • We’ve also been getting in touch with yet more interested and interesting parties to talk to about our work and test things with!

What's the plan for next week?

  • Show & tell number 3 will be happening in the Southwark offices (5th floor) on Monday 28 at 2pm!
  • Final, digestible report of concept testing findings will be shared
  • Forming up the operational blueprint of storyboards of the journeys of different users
  • Development will continue on the comparison tool with further work to build out the supporting database of sites and viability information
  • We’ll also be designing and organising the aforementioned tests in preparation for some intensive testing in sprint 5!
