Supporting adults with age related needs or physical disabilities and their carers. These services include telecare and occupational therapy.
Sensory Team
Who we support
We support adults with hearing loss, sight loss, or dual sensory loss (deaf blindness).
We assess their individual needs and help them maintain their safety and independence.
What we do
Our services include:
- providing appropriate equipment, minor home adaptations, lighting assessments, and practical advice to support independent living
- offering specialist rehabilitation for people with visual impairments, including training in daily living skills and indoor/outdoor mobility
- issuing registration cards for individuals with a certificate of visual impairment (CVI) referred by eye clinics
- assisting with the transfer of CVIs to other local authorities when someone moves home
We work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
