Southwark Streetscape Design Manual (SSDM)

Procedures Register (SSDM/PR)

The Procedures Register consists of one document that explains the procedures for different aspects of the design development and approval process. The procedures have been agreed upon under delegated authority by Senior Council Officers.

The individual procedures explain everything from how projects are inducted into our Quality System and the standard development phases and work stages they'll need to progress through, to submitting design information for approval and completing associated Road Safety and other independent audits.

The register also explains procedures for obtaining departure approval to vary from the requirements of documents in our Design Standards Register to the use of paving materials or items of street furniture other than those specified in our Street Elements Register.

Many of the procedures require designers to complete and submit certain forms. These can be found in the forms schedule. Relevant forms are referenced in the procedures.
