Children: weekly and monthly activities

  • Baby rhyme time sessions - every Monday 2pm to 2.30pm and every Friday 10.15am to 10.45am (ages 0 to 4)
  • Baby and toddler session - every Tuesday, 10.30am to 12pm (ages 0 to 4)
  • Bookstart session - every Wednesday, 10am to 11.30am (term time only)
  • Story Stop - Do your shopping, then rest and stop off for a story - every Saturday, 11.30am to 12noon (ages 3 to 8 and family)
  • Chatterbooks - fourth Thursday of every month, 4.30pm to 5.30pm (ages 7 to 11)
  • Wii Gaming Club - every Friday, 4pm to 5.30pm (ages 10 and over)

What else is on offer

Peckham's Black writing collection features a wide selection of black interest book. The library also features the largest collection of African music CDs in the borough and houses a fantastic range of graphic novels.

Accessibility

There's full access for people with disabilities, including a lift to the library on the fourth floor and the activity 'pods' on the fifth floor. If you'd like assistance using the lift, speak to a member of staff on the ground floor or fourth floor.

We also offer the following facilities:

  • disabled access toilets 
  • evacuation chairs for emergency use
  • access to Dolphin Supernova software (allows screen magnification and audio assistance for visually impaired)
