Renewals and variations

Renew or vary your licence

If you already hold an approval, you can apply to have your licence renewed.

Please note you must apply for a renewal no more than 12 months before this current approval expires.

Under no circumstances can marriages or civil partnership proceedings take place in a building where the approval has expired, been revoked or the ownership has changed.

Transfer your licence

If the ownership has changed, you can transfer the licence.

Transfer of an existing approval form

If you currently hold an approval and would like to add additional rooms to the approval, email registrars@southwark.gov.uk for suitability. Once the registrar has granted suitability, you will be able to apply for a new licence.
