Southwark Women’s network

Southwark Women's network was launched in March 2016 and is open to all Southwark Council staff. Our vision is to be a safe, non judgemental forum to enable Southwark female staff to realise their full potential.

The Women's network mission is to create a forum for women to come together to share experiences and ideas for the greater benefit of the workforce, to champion equality, and to influence and shape council policy.

Our values are:

equality and equity in the workplace
inclusive, supportive and collaborative
encourage the council to be the best workplace it can be for all staff
empower women to amplify their voices

The Network organises events, training, networking and other activities for staff. The network is member-led and we have a committee of staff who voluntarily organise the network's programme of activities.
