7 Holyrood Street
In January 2019, we launched a callout for ideas to activate a small ‘yard’ space at the front of number 7 Holyrood Street. We're delighted to be working with Sanchez Benton Architects, the practice behind the successful proposal.
After some delay, we're now about to start works on site to create this bespoke new café-kiosk set within a lush garden courtyard. Flanked by a stunning green wall, the kiosk will be run by food business Malfatti Projects, working with The Connection, who work with rehabilitating homeless people across London. The project will deliver greening and activation of the street. The design is a major feature, with an 8m high green trellis acting as a beacon and visual marker for the street. We hope this will draw more footfall into Holyrood Street, and is a key part of the strategy to transform the street.
Works are scheduled to start in early February 2021 and will take approximately 16 weeks.
