Chambers Wharf Community Enhancement Fund
As part of the planning consent for the Tideway project, a Community Enhancement Fund (CEF) with a £1m budget has been set up to deliver local community benefit for people impacted by the construction work taking place at the Thames Tideway Chambers Wharf construction site. The legal agreement, attached to the planning consent, provides a framework for how the CEF should be spent.
Where can the money be spent?
The CEF can be spent on projects which benefit the community directly affected by the construction of the tunnel, within a designated area between Jamaica Road, Mill Street, the river and West Lane.
What can the money be spent on?
Funding can be spent on any positive project idea which can benefit the community within the project area, and can be properly maintained in the future.
