Your Southwark Library card is now also your Southwark Presents card a passport to culture in your borough. Not only do card holders get great offers and discounts at a number of cultural destinations throughout Southwark, you will also be able to enjoy free access to 12 libraries across the borough- including free eBooks and eAudio, PC and WiFi use, study space and a wide range of books, DVDs, CDs and magazines.
If you’d like to join, complete the online library membership application.
Your guest membership will expire within one month of joining. If you wish to become a permanent member, visit any Southwark library to collect your permanent library card. You'll need to bring your guest membership number and one form of identity (ID) with your current address, such as:
- a recent utilities bill (last six months)
- rent / child benefit / pension book
- current driving licence
- bank / credit card statement (last six months)
- building society book
If you don’t want to join online just pop into your nearest Southwark library and ask for a joining form from a member of staff. Once you’ve completed the form you’ll need to show one proof of identity (ID) which has your current address.
If you’re under 18, a parent or carer will need to sign the form as your guarantor.
If you’re registered disabled, let us know when you join as you’re entitled to a range of concessions.
