Black History Month

Join Southwark in honouring the achievements, culture and history of African, Caribbean and diaspora communities.

We have a month-long programme of exciting and inspirational events and workshops throughout Black History Month this October.

We have worked with a range of wonderful individuals and organisations to make sure there’s a local event for everyone in the borough and something for people of all ages and interests.

Grant funding for Black History Month 2024

The Black History Month programme will open for applications on 7 May and close on 17 June. Guidance and application information will be available between these dates.
