Parents as facilitators

A number of parents have themselves trained to become parenting group work facilitators. FEH are very committed to developing further opportunities for many more parents to be trained and help us deliver on our ambition to be able to offer a wide range of evidenced based programmes in our community, lead by parents themselves. Experience tells us there are many benefits to a parent-led model including better attended groups as well as providing employment opportunities. We have also secured a number of school personnel who would like to be trained to be able to deliver programmes in their school communities with support from our parenting practitioners and their expertise.
