Help with the cost of a funeral

If you're arranging the funeral yourself and receive one of the following benefits, you may qualify for government assistance:

Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Pension Credit
Housing Benefit
the disability or severe disability element of Working Tax Credit
Child Tax Credit
Universal Credit

You can also get advice from your local Jobcentre Plus. They can arrange an interview for you or they can send you the claim form SF200 to assist with funeral payments.
