Calculating major works costs
We calculate your share of the costs in accordance with your lease and depending on the type of work. The costs may be shared between all the properties in the block or estate, or those properties which benefit from the work.
Before we let a contract with a service charge of more than £250, we’ll send you a Section 20 notice, which will give you a chance to comment on the proposed work and on the cost.
Major works invoices
Your invoice for major works estimates how much the work will cost. Your lease requires you to make payments towards this estimate. When the work is complete, we’ll adjust your service charge to reflect the actual cost of the work and send you a new invoice or credit note as appropriate.
If you're a freeholder with service charges you'll receive an invoice only when the work is completed.
