Leader of the Council and Cabinet Members

Councillor Kieron Williams has been Leader of Southwark Council since September 2020. He was first elected to Southwark Council in May 2014 and has served in the Cabinet with various responsibilities including housing, modernisation, jobs, skills and innovation.

He is chair of Central London Forward, heading up efforts to get the best deal for inner London boroughs and is the Chair of the London Councils’ Transport and Environment Committee, leading the charge for a world class transport network and facing up to the enormous challenge of climate change and improving air quality. He is a Camberwell Green councillor, former Chair of Camberwell Community Council and spent almost four years as a Governor at King’s Hospital. He lives in Camberwell with his partner and two children.
