Stages of the programme 

Stage 1.  Action Learning Sets for an existing trustee (preferably your Chair or Vice Chair) to allow existing and future trustees to build relationships and learn from each other’s experiences around diversity and inclusion in relation to governance

Stage 2. Recruitment of a trained Special Independent Director (SID) from the Black on Board delegates for a 1 year placement with your organisation’s board

Stage 3. Peer Support for your senior staff (preferably your CEO or a Director) with other participating arts organisations on the programme

Stage 4. Recommendations from Olmec for your organisation’s ongoing inclusivity including diversity, strategy, policy and recruitment recommendations to take into the future

Stage 5. Potential to appoint your Special Independent Director as a Trustee at the end of the programme by mutual agreement

Stage 6. Evaluation. As this is a pilot programme, participating organisations will be asked to engage in evaluation activity to help inform any future delivery of the programme. This will include questionnaires and attendance at an evaluation workshop.
