Family learning courses
Family learning programmes are designed to help adults develop the skills they need to support their child’s English and maths and to allow families to learn together in a fun and relaxed environment.
Bring your child(ren) and participate in a wide variety of activities from woodwork, pottery, poetry, film, fashion, using a computer, crafts, arts and animation, music, dance, sewing and salsa. We regularly run sessions after school and during the holidays for families to learn a new skill and to take time out to enjoy being creative together. Most family learning courses are free, but some classes charge a £5 materials fee.
We also have courses to help you to support your school-aged child(ren) or grandchild(ren). These courses will enable you to help them do well at school and achieve more by supporting your own progress and achievement in English, maths and languages.
Courses run in various venues across the borough, including schools, children’s centres, libraries and voluntary organisations and at the Thomas Calton Centre in Peckham.
If you'd like to have a course delivered to your venue, contact us to discuss your ideas.
