Southwark Council’s proposed new offices at Queens Road, Peckham

Southwark Council is proposing to develop the site at 133-137 Queens Road, Peckham.

In January and February 2018, we hosted two rounds of public consultation regarding our original plans for this site. We are very grateful to everyone who took the time to respond to us and we have taken into consideration all the feedback we received. While the designs have now moved on from this, you can still find a summary of the feedback from the January and February public exhibitions below.

In May 2018 we appointed award-winning architects Allies & Morrison to bring forward a revised design and build upon the previous plans for the site.

Work was undertaken between June and August 2018 to clear the site and demolish the existing development. The rationale behind this decision was to reduce council costs for maintaining the empty buildings.  

We recently held a residents’ engagement session on Thursday 4 April 2019 at Southwark Council’s Queens Road offices.  The presentation shown to residents is available to view below. We will be uploading a summary of feedback from the session in due course.

We are intending to hold further engagement events in the summer. We will notify you in advance of the dates/venue for the next sessions and communicate with you in due course.
