223 Southwark Park Road opportunity

Made in Bermondsey
223 Southwark Park Road opportunity

We are looking to find an experienced operator with ideas for a new multi-arts cultural venue at the heart of The Blue town centre.

You’ll need to have an exciting and unique proposal and a solid business model, as well as a track-record of running successful and sustainable cultural operations to create a vibrant destination.

The space offered is the old Thorowgoods Furniture store at 223 Southwark Park Road; it needs building work to bring it back into use but it presents a great opportunity right on the main street and adjacent to the market square.

Download the marketing brochure (PDF, 5.2mb)and a copy of the guidance (PDF, 1.3mb), which has all the information about the space and details about the local context, the history of the Blue and the council’s aspirations for the venue. Some parts of the documents are not fully accessible; if you have questions about accessing the information please contact SustainableGrowthNorth@southwark.gov.uk.

Let us know you are interested in submitting your ideas as soon as possible by lodging an Expression of Interest; we’ll then keep you up to date with any further information.

Deadline for submitting the full bid will be Friday 2nd August 2024 at midday.

Whilst we are unable to offer tours at the moment, details about the space, including plans and photographs about the property, are provided in the ITT.

To find out more or make an offer on the building please email  SustainableGrowthNorth@southwark.gov.uk
