Breastfeeding drop-in support groups

Breastfeeding support drop-ins are safe and comfortable places where you can be supported to start and continue breastfeeding. All pregnant women and breastfeeding people are welcome. A referral is not needed.

In Southwark, The Breastfeeding Network runs free drop-in breastfeeding support sessions:

The sessions are run by health visitors and peer supports and they can help you with:

  • getting started with breastfeeding after birth
  • overcoming common challenges like sore nipples or concerns about milk supply
  • expressing and storing breastmilk
  • introducing solid foods alongside breastfeeding
  • continuing to breastfeed when returning to work
  • ending your breastfeeding journey when the time is right for you

The Breastfeeding Network also offers virtual support, home visits and antenatal workshops.

You can also check the times and locations, and register for free workshops about preparing to feed your baby.
