Health checks and screenings

Health and wellbeing roadshows offer free advice and health checks to residents over 18 across Southwark. 

You can: 

• speak to health professionals about your wellbeing
• get your blood pressure and weight checked
• get advice on stopping smoking and help with alcohol, and support for your mental wellbeing
• find out about preventing, and managing long-term conditions such as diabetes
• get advice on local screening for breast, bowel, cervical, lung and prostate cancer
• find out about local services that can help you, including leisure centres

We run health roadshows across the borough with NHS South East London and other local partners. The events take place in parks and at events like festivals.

Join us on:

• Saturday 7 December: Peckham Business Forum Market Day, 12 noon to 5pm, Peckham Square, 89 Peckham High Street, SE15 5RS
• Wednesday 11 December: Bermondsey Central Hall warm space, 9.30am to 12 noon, Bermondsey Central Hall, 256 Bermondsey Street, SE1 3UJ
• Saturday 20 December: Kingdom Thirst CIC Chrimbo X-Mas, if you’re homeless or have children under 18 and need some extra help, then there will be a hot meal, hygiene kits, sanitary products and health checks available 1pm to 5pm, Peckham Square, 89 Peckham High Street, SE15 5RS

• Wednesday 11 December: Women’s health and wellbeing outreach, 10.30am to 2.30pm, All Saints Church Hall, 8 Blenheim Grove, SE15 4QS
