Cossall Park Master Plan and Improvements

Cossall Park
Cossall Park

Southwark Council’s Parks & Leisure and Cleaner Greener Safer departments have secured funding to improve Cossall Park in Peckham, SE15. The park is located next to Cossall Estate and has entrances on Woods Road and Harders Road.

The Master Plan

In the past, enhancements have been piecemeal, so a Master Plan is needed to guide future investment. Having a robust Master Plan will also give us a strong basis for applications for external funding.

Phase One

We expect to only have enough funding to deliver part of the Master Plan. Priorities are bringing the inaccessible and overgrown area in the north of the park (next to the ball court) back into use, and improving the play provision for local children.

If everything goes to plan, construction could begin in the winter of 2019/20.

Consultation

We're working closely with Friends of Cossall Park and residents to make the park great for everyone.

The first public consultation meeting was held on Tuesday 5 March 2019. Comments have been summarised and are available to download here (pdf, 94kb).

The second and final consultation event was held in the park on Sunday 14 April 2019, and is available to complete online until 17 May 2019.
