History of the park

The cemetery was opened in 1927 and the Church of England section was consecrated by the Rt. Rev. Woodcock Hough the Lord Bishop of Woolwich. Honor Oak Crematorium is situated in the Cemetery and is notable for it's beautiful stained glass window. The building was designed by Aston Webb and completed in 1939.

Annual memorial service at Honor Oak crematorium

We welcome all to join us in remembrance of loved ones at our annual memorial service at 3pm on Sunday 24 June 2018. Refreshments will be available. The address is: Brockley Way, London, SE4 2LW.

Southwark Council uses your personal data to record details of Exclusive Right of Burial & Memorial Rights Grants under the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977 and applications for Cremation under the Cremation Regulations 2007 a statutory instrument of the Cremation Act 1902. We also record details of any leaseholder of memorial schemes operated for the duration of the lease to ensure that we are able to make contact with you regarding the future of your memorial. We do not need your permission to process your data and failure to provide this information will prevent us from providing services as they are a legal requirement.

Your personal information will only be used by the bereavement services team.  Your personal details on documents will be destroyed after 15 years and information recorded in registers will remain indefinite.
