Why have we introduced car clubs in Southwark
A network of car club bays across Southwark will help in a number of key strategy areas:
- economically they can help relieve congestion and parking pressures within the borough
- socially they compliment the public transport system in providing accessibility to key services and facilities without the related costs of car ownership
- environmentally, they help reduce reliance on the private motor-car and the associated pollution
Research has also shown that just one car club vehicle can reduce as many as 20 private cars - just think how this may help your neighbourhood's parking and traffic congestion.
