If you're at risk of being homeless
How we support people at risk of being homeless. How to contact us and what happens next.
Accommodation during a review
We do not have to provide you with accommodation while we review a decision about your homeless application. This means you will have to find somewhere to stay.
However, we may provide accommodation in exceptional circumstances, such as:
- if we believe the original decision could be unlawful and may be overturned
- if new information puts the original decision in doubt, and you would face exceptional hardship without accommodation (more so than other people who are homeless)
We will also provide accommodation if you refuse a final offer of accommodation or a final Part 6 offer of accommodation during the relief stage because you think the accommodation is not suitable. This is only if you are homeless, eligible for help and in priority need.
