Empty homes loans and grants

We have a limited number of loans and grants to help you bring your empty property back into use as housing. The funding is to help you refurbish your property to let on the private or social housing market, or for reoccupation as your main home.

Grants of up to £40,000 are available in return for letting your property through a council run scheme. 

Fixed-fee loans of up to £70,000 are available if you want to rent privately or reoccupy. In certain circumstances it may be used together with a grant where your property is used on a council-run scheme.
