Southwark is committed to contributing to the evidence base for Public Health interventions. We benefit from working in partnership with world-class academic institutions such as Imperial College London and Kings College London. Recent publications include:

Conferences

The Public Health Division attends and presents at various conferences each year such as:

Students in the Master’s of Public Health at Imperial College in London come to Southwark each year to undertake summer research projects on topics of local and national importance. Examples include:

  • prescribing trends of dependence forming medicines; a secondary analysis of national primary care prescribing patterns
  • controlling alcohol availability through local policy: an observational study to evaluate Cumulative Impact Zones in a London borough
