The UK General Election is on 4 July. 
Register to vote by 18 June.
If you need to vote by post, you must apply to do this by 5pm on 19 June.
You need valid photo ID to vote in person. If you don’t have valid ID, apply by 5pm on 26 June for a Voter Authority Certificate.

What is a petition

A petition is a statement about a local issue, supported by the signatures of local residents or those directly affected. A member of the public or a councillor can present a petition at a local multi-ward forum, the cabinet, to other council committees or council assembly.

Who can submit a petition

A petition can be submitted by anyone of any age who lives, works or studies in Southwark.

How to submit a petition

Petitions should be submitted at least 10 clear working days before the meeting. Paper petitions can be sent to:
