Instructions for the committal and remains

During the service, the coffin will be placed on a raised platform called the catafalque. For the committal, you have the choice for the coffin to descend or remain in view. You may also wish to witness the start of the cremation. This is offered at specified times and must be requested at the time of the funeral booking.

You will be asked to provide instruction for the cremated remains when arranging the funeral. Once the cremation service has finished we will follow these instructions. Changes can only be made with the written authority of the applicant for cremation.

We are only able to return cremated remains to the applicant or their appointed representative listed on the cremation paperwork.
