About me and my connection to Southwark
I have lived and worked in and around Southwark for the past 9 years, it is a real creative hub with lots of workshops, makers, studios and manufacturers around. It is an area of young cultural heritage and you can almost make or create anything by just using companies based in the area. I have based my practice in this area for many reasons, living, cost and practicality. I keep on collaborating and meeting new creatives who also live and work around the area as it is also constantly changing, and bringing people here who pass by and go so there's a real renewal of generations and people passing by. Sadly it is becoming less affordable and people will eventually need to move further out, but I am sure I won't be loosing the precious connections I've made.
