About me and my connection to Southwark

After sofa surfing for four years Southwark Council offered me a flat in The Borough. I became involved with the estates Residents Association and contributed to the estates transition to become a housing cooperative.
When the accommodation no longer met my medical needs at the time Southwark nominated me for a transfer to a Coin Street Co-operative. I have lived and worked in Southwark for thirty four years during which time I have immersed myself in the local community both through my housing and professional work. I have taught, performed, and produced projects for many Southwark arts venues. I have also exhibited my paintings in Southwark. So for me Southwark has given me more or less everything of worth to experience a rich life through opportunities to meet, collaborate and share my passions with others. I hope I have been able to enhance their lives.
