Our climate action plan
Overview
Our climate action plan is our roadmap to responding to climate change. It brings together a wide range of actions that will improve the lives of residents and make Southwark a better place to live.
The plan is focussed on 5 themes. Within these 5 themes there are both actions that reduce carbon emissions and actions that prepare us for the worsening effects of climate change. In most cases an action will do both things.
Our five themes are:
- Buildings and energy
- Streets and transport
- Natural environment
- Greener economy
- People and resources
Each theme is divided into priority areas. The priority areas contain actions to deliver an outcome that will support delivery of our climate change strategy.
Actions are made up of several smaller activities which will help deliver the action and its outcome.
