Housing estate roads and car parks

Statutory consultation

During November 2012 and May 2013 we advertised our intention to make traffic orders for all housing estates that have parking facilities of any kind.

The orders were put in place simply to continue on the existing parking arrangements you have on your estate and to allow us to issue parking tickets to vehicles that park in contravention, instead of clamping.

The orders did not propose to make changes to existing parking layouts (ie the position and type of parking bays) nor did they propose to change the status of whether your estate has a permit scheme in operation or not.

We were required to carry out statutory consultation before making the order.

You can view the proposal notice and other associated documents here.
