Southwark Council internship scheme 

Paid internships lasting 6 to 12 weeks, open to residents aged from 16 to 24 - especially young people who face barriers to employment

Southwark Education Business Alliance (Southwark EBA)

Provides work placements and internships for 16 to 18 year old residents who are currently in education

upReach 

Paid internships for undergraduates or recent graduates who have a home address in Southwark and meet other eligibility criteria, such as having attended state school and being over the age of 18.

Supported internships

A structured study programme based primarily with an employer. Open to young people aged from 16 to 24 with a statement of Special Education Needs (SEN), a Learning Difficulty Assessment (LDA) or an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP).

Movement to Work 

Access to transformational work experience placements, linked to real jobs for young people aged 15 to 18 from disadvantaged backgrounds

Traineeships 

A guide for traineeships available to anyone aged 16 to 24. Traineeships are courses with work experience that prepare you for work or an apprenticeship and can last up to six months.

Historic Royal Palaces Volunteering

Volunteering opportunities at the Historic Royal Palaces, open to anyone aged 18 or above.
