Citizens Advice Southwark

Citizens Advice Southwark(link is external) offers advice in person, over the phone and by email including advice on housing. 

Samaritans

If you’re feeling low and need to talk, call the Samaritans(link is external) for free on 116 123.

Look Ahead Housing

St Giles Trust

Victim Support

Victim Support(link is external) gives advice and help to victims of crime. 

London South Bank University

Southwark Law Centre

Southwark Law centre offers advice and representation on employment, housing, immigration and possession cases. Call 020 7732 2008.

If you're a Southwark council tenant, call your Resident Services officer. They may be able to help you find accommodation in or outside the borough.

If you would like to discuss your housing situation and are not a Southwark council tenant, Southwark Council Housing Options team may be able to assist you.

Southwark Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS)

We commission a support service to help people in Southwark who are experiencing gender-based violence.  It is called the Southwark Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS) and is run by Refuge(link is external).

Sanctuary Scheme

Centrepoint

Centrepoint(link is external) provides a safe place to live for people aged 16 to 25 in London. Call them on 0845 466 340.

Depaul

Depaul(link is external) works with young people experiencing homelessness, providing emergency accommodation and more. See The Mix(link is external) for how to get in touch.

New Horizons

New Horizons(link is external) provides a support network for 16 to 21 year olds who have no one else to turn to. They provide hot meals, showers and laundry and can help find accommodation, training and employment. Call them on 020 7388 5560 or email info@nhyouthcentre.org.uk(link sends email)

The Foyer Foundation

The Foyer Federation(link is external) provides young people with accommodation combined with education and training support. Call them on 020 7430 2212.

Stonewall Housing

Stonewall Housing(link is external) offers free advice on housing-related issues for LGBTQ+ people. They also give help if you’re homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, for example if your relationship with your family has broken down or you have a dispute with your landlord. Call Stonewall Housing on 0800 6404 404. Lines are open every weekday 10am to 1pm. 

Albert Kennedy Trust

Albert Kennedy Trust(link is external) supports LGBTQ+ young people in the UK experiencing homelessness or living in hostile environments. The trust helps them to find safe homes, employment, education or training and can help filling in benefit forms, housing referrals or provide emergency accommodation. Call 020 7831 6562.
