The UK General Election is on 4 July. 
Register to vote by 18 June.
If you need to vote by post, you must apply to do this by 5pm on 19 June.
You need valid photo ID to vote in person. If you don’t have valid ID, apply by 5pm on 26 June for a Voter Authority Certificate.

Extend your lease

Who qualifies

To extend your lease, you must have a long lease which includes any of the following:

  • for a term of more than twenty one years
  • granted under the Social Homebuy scheme with 100% ownership
  • granted under Right to Buy 
  • Right to Acquire under rent to mortgage terms

You must also meet both criteria below:

  • you must have owned the lease of your flat for more than two years
  • you must not be a commercial or business tenant
  • you must be a residential leaseholder
