Description

Join us on September 4 for a gentle, guided group bike ride. This ride is for people who already know how to ride a bike, but are perhaps hesitant about cycling in traffic by themselves.

Open to up to 10 people.

This ride is a joint initiative between Restorative Justice for All and the Women of Colour Cycling Collective. It’ll be led by a British Cycling-qualified ride leader and a team of volunteers. There’ll be 1 volunteer for every 3 participants the whole way through.

We will be riding on a 9.5km loop that connects Surrey Quays, Stave Hill Park and Southwark Park. Most of the route will be either off-road or on segregated cycle lanes. We will spend a small section on quiet, residential streets near the river.

Lime Bikes will provide free access to bike and helmets for all participants. Please download the Lime app and register on it before you arrive at the centre. You will need to have the app to start the bike.

The ride will begin with a short talk about safety and we will make sure that everyone is familiar with how the bikes work and how to brake safely before we begin.*** Please note that we will go at a pace that is comfortable for the least experienced rider in the group. ***
