Summer Reading Challenge - Story Garden

Story Garden is coming to a Southwark library near you this summer!
The Summer Reading Challenge is a great way to keep children reading throughout the summer. This exciting theme will inspire children to tap into a world of imagination through reading, exploring the magical connection between storytelling and nature.

This is a publicly contributed event and not a council event. If you would like, you can submit your own event and have it appear on our website (subject to review).

Description

Children can choose any book to read and receive stickers and gifts and get the chance to win fantastic prizes in our summer prize draws. After reading six books, children will receive a medal and a certificate. If your child is not a member of the library this is a great time to join them up to receive their very own library card.

During the summer we will have a range of activities for children aged 0-4 and 4 to 11 years. We will also have a programme of activities for young people 12 to 17 years.

These events will take place at all Southwark Libraries.
