Poetry Walk Starting at Una Marson Library
A poetic walking tour of South London, with librarians from Southwark Libraries and the National Poetry Library
Date
to
Librarians from the National Poetry Library and Southwark’s very own Una Marson Library have collaborated to produce a walk that connects the two! Beginning at Una Marson Library, itself named in honour of a poet, we’ll stop for carefully chosen readings at celebrated literary landmarks like Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tabard Inn, where Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales began – as well as some lesser-known points of poetic interest you might have passed by a thousand times – before walking along the south bank of the Thames to the iconic National Poetry Library in the South Bank Centre.
Over 2 hours. Please wear appropriate footwear for an outdoor walk, bring water, and be aware of traffic at road crossings.
