2025 is the 10th anniversary celebration for both 'Castellers of London' and the London Catalan School/'Escola Catalana de Londres'.
Both groups have very diverse members, and the aim is to highlight Catalan culture but show it involving and being open to all, and to show some of the local groups they are interwoven with.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the day. (and get in touch ahead of the day)
From 12:30 the school will gather their 100+ students and families in Potters Fields Park for a picnic and celebration.
The Human Towers will start at 13:00 with the aim to complete all towers by 16:00.
Castellers of London are joined by 'Mannekes de Brussel·les' and 'Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls'. 'Mannekes de Brussel·les' are one of the growing number of international groups spreading Castells, and Colla Joves is a top rated 'colla' from the birthplace of Castells. Colla Joves will be building 8 levels, as they did on their previous visit in 2014, and London and Brussels will build 6 levels. But each group helps each other.
The day will be celebrated with Catalan and local dignitaries and there will be stalls for other groups such as 'The Blue', and the afternoon will include Carragher Academy Irish dancing, singing from The London Catalan Choir plus others.
