Join us for a joyful free day of festive singing and music-making for children aged 8–13, in Southwark, on Saturday 20th December!
Throughout the day, children will take part in a range of fun, creative musical activities designed to build confidence and teamwork, as well as learn a selection of festive songs under the guidance of professional musicians and music teachers from schools across London. All of the musicians are volunteering their time to make this day possible, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for young people of all backgrounds and experience levels.
The Singing Day runs from 10am to 4pm, with breaks throughout, and concludes with a special Family Carol Concert (3-4pm), where the children will perform what they’ve learned to their friends, families, and members of the local community.
The event is part of an ongoing initiative to bring Southwark families together through music, encouraging creativity, confidence, and community spirit at a time of year that can be challenging for some families - especially during the school holidays, when childcare can be expensive.
The day is completely free to attend, and children do not need to have any prior musical experience to take part - just enthusiasm and a love of singing!
