Bankside Open Spaces Festival

Bankside Open Spaces Festival is a free community festival featuring two stages of music and performance, sports activities, hands on craft and gardening, DJs, family fun, circus skills, dance workshops, stalls, food, bars and more! All taking place in award-winning spaces with talented performers.

This is a publicly contributed event and not a council event. If you would like, you can submit your own event and have it appear on our website (subject to review).

Description

Bankside Open Spaces Festival is a celebration of our Bankside community and our local green spaces. It's free and unticketed, and everyone is welcome!

Now in it's 8th year, the festival is welcoming back much loved local choirs, bands, dancers, sports coaches and craft experts to give you a fantastic free afternoon in Bankside. We also make space for neurodivergent visitors with a quiet zone and nature-focused accessible activities.

New for this year is our Inclusion House - packed with Pride fuelled talks and more! 

So join us in Red Cross Garden, Marlborough Sports Garden, Crossbones Graveyard and down Redcross Way for an afternoon powered by community spirit!

Parking limited but there are parking bays on Union Street and Ayres Street nearby.
By train
London Bridge Train Station is a 10 minute walk

Borough is a 5 minute walk.

Accessibility

The festival is step free with plentiful seating. There will be accessible temporary toilets in and next to Marlborough Sports Garden and an accessible indoor toilet at Red Cross Garden. 

There is a quiet zone and accessible workshops aimed at neurodivergent visitors.
