Your child's regular attendance at school is important for their education and development.

You need to have a good reason for your child to stay at home and not attend school, such as illness.

Good behaviour is one of the foundations for successful teaching and learning.

Truancy is when a pupil does not go to school and their parents do not know about it.

An exclusion is when a headteacher decides to send a pupil home from school as a disciplinary measure
