Who the courses are for

All levels of fitness and experience are welcome at our general Pilates courses. Our beginner's course will suit those with no previous experience. Great for people that want to strengthen and develop their core strengths.

What you'll learn

  • how to set up your body for safe and effective exercise
  • how to focus your mind on your body
  • how to efficiently and effectively mobilise joints, strengthen muscles and increase flexibility
  • relaxation technique
  • how to increase the level of challenge to suit your own ability

How courses are taught

In the pod studio or online via Zoom.

Mostly we will exercise on a mat to work the major muscle groups, with a focus on the body core.
Health and safety issues will be constantly monitored and direct observation of learners will ensure that exercises are carried out correctly and safely.

Materials you'll need

  • comfortable clothes
  • a bottle of water
  • a mask when moving around the building

After the course

  • at the end of the course, you will be aware of how to balance and control your body which can benefit other areas of your life
  • further fitness courses are available with SALS
