New Architect Design Services Framework and Extension

We're committed to improving the lives of all our residents and feel passionate in the belief that architecture and design excellence is central to achieving this to create distinctive places, buildings, parks and public realms that people relate can to, identify with and take inspiration from.

Through this ambitious new architect’s framework, the council in partnership with LHC, has found the best architects and designers to deliver civic design within the borough of Southwark. Through LHC’s connections, this framework will also be accessed by other boroughs and public bodies across London.

To find out more about the council’s aspirations, read Councillor Leo Pollak’s discussion on the framework in the Architects Journal.

Framework extension ADS1.1

We're seeking to appoint the very best established and emerging practices who offer valuable equalities, diversity and inclusion credentials. We intend to expand on the aims of the original ADS1 list and appoint more diverse practices. We aim to have one enhanced framework that offers a representative, rounded and comprehensive panel of architects who come with a range of ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and experience that reflects Southwark and the wider London demographic.

We're seeking to attract the best, talented diverse architects who are traditionally under-represented on public sector frameworks, to join our enhanced framework of suppliers. Support and advice to apply is available at webinars this week. Find out more details.
