Overview
A local land charge is a restriction on a piece of land or property which can limit its use or make the owner pay a sum of money.
You'll need to search HM Land Registry's digital portal to view any charges affecting land or property like planning decisions, tree preservation orders and details of any money owed to the council by previous owners.
Southwark Council still provide Con 29 and Con 29R searches.
