Authority Monitoring Reports

Authority Monitoring Reports fulfill our commitment to accountability and transparency.

Use class changes in 2020

The monitoring figures for old use classes have been converted to new use classes to reflect updates to the Use Classes Order. Please note that some planning applications have not specified the sub-class of use classes E(g) and B1 at approval stage. These remain as E(g) in the records for monitoring purposes.

As a public authority, accountability and transparency is important.

The Authority Monitoring Report provides information dating from 2023/2024, gathered from a range of sources. These sources include the Greater London Authority (GLA) London Planning Datahub and the London Development Database (LDD) for historical applications.

Technical remarks

The Mayor of London also publishes the London-wide Authority Monitoring Report, which may vary slightly to the information displayed here. Data is dynamic and as such is continually updated and published at different times by the respective authorities, leading to slightly different results with data amended in between.

The differences in data may relate to:

  • amendments made to outline permissions or phased permissions to reflect complex phasing and construction sequencing
  • changes made by way of amendments to permissions
  • from time to time the reporting methodology may be changed and this may result in a lag or a difference in the figures. Where these may exist, the website will be updated accordingly to reflect this.
