Residential Design Standards SPD

Our Residential Design Standards SPD ^{(PDF, 824kb)} was adopted in 2011. We did a technical update to the SPD in March 2015, in response to changes to the government’s housing standards review. We also made an interim guidance note ^{(PDF, 208kb)} to support these changes.

The SPD contains further detailed guidance on our residential design policies for:

new-build homes
conversions
affordable homes
extensions and more
