Why did we consult on this document?

It's important that new development responds to the character of an area and reveals its local distinctiveness. We want the study to reflect the views of those who live, work in and visit Camberwell. We used a combination of public meetings and online platforms to encourage people to contribute to the study. The study will inform the priorities and guidance for any future changes in the area.

What will happen next?

The Camberwell Area Character Study will inform the strategic priorities for Camberwell. It will also act as guidance on future policy and development management. It will be used to inform planning decisions.
