Cemetery Conservation Management Plans

Southwark Council manages Nunhead Cemetery, Camberwell Old Cemetery and Camberwell New Cemetery. The three cemeteries are all located in the south of the borough, Alland have highly valued physical and community heritage assets that need protecting and managing.

Conservation Management Plans (CMPs) are a management resource that reviews the heritage, ecology, landscape, visitor experience and tree/woodlands for each cemetery. They highlight the value of each and include management policy and guidance that aim to protect and enhance those values for the future, setting out our vision and creating an action plan for each cemetery.

The council has produced draft CMPs for each cemetery for public consultation.
