Parking enforcement over Christmas and on bank holidays

Bank holiday and public holidays

Enforcement will apply to:

  • permit holders parking bays within Bankside controlled parking zone (C1) (PDF, 424kb)
  • entire parking zone (all parking bays and yellow lines) within Bermondsey controlled parking Zone (G) (PDF, 217kb)
  • all double yellow lines within the borough
  • all footway parking, parking in front of dropped kerb and disabled bays
  • all traffic regulations will be enforced using CCTV camera
  • all car parks within Southwark parks (please ensue you have paid to park)

Free parking is available on-street in the circumstances and/or locations listed below:

  • paid for parking places (except for Bermondsey Zone G) 
  • permit holders parking bays (except for Bankside Zone C1 and Bermondsey Zone G)
  • council run car parks (not including car parks within Southwark Parks where charges apply on bank holidays)

Christmas day enforcement

There is no parking enforcement on Christmas day, however, all moving traffic banned turns and banned manoeuvres will continue to be enforced using CCTV camera for safety purposes. No enforcement in bus lanes.
